Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
1. Scope
This policy describes how Quantivis OS may handle information when you use it. Actual access depends on the features you enable, permissions you grant, device behavior, and whether an optional feature contacts an external service.
2. Information You Provide
Profile details, photos, theme choices, aliases, launcher preferences, and lock configuration that you choose to enter may be stored in app preferences or app-specific storage on your device.
3. Device and Usage Information
When a relevant feature is enabled and permission is granted, the app may access app usage or launch information, notification content or metadata, calendar events, approximate or precise location, microphone audio for speech recognition, and device/network status. Camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Maps shortcuts open external Android or provider apps; Quantivis does not directly read camera frames or paired Bluetooth device data. Do not grant optional access unless you want the associated feature.
4. How Information Is Used
Information available to the app is used to operate the launcher, remember preferences, display widgets, provide requested features, and help troubleshoot issues. Access to a permission does not mean every related item is collected or transmitted.
5. Local Storage and External Services
Many preferences and settings are stored locally. Quantivis OS does not sell personal information. When you request local weather, available device location coordinates are sent over HTTPS to the Open-Meteo forecast service. Network diagnostics contact Google connectivity-check and Cloudflare speed-test endpoints; those providers can receive the request and normal network metadata such as your IP address. If you choose a Maps or online search shortcut, the destination or search query is sent to the selected external provider. Android’s selected speech-recognition service may process voice input under that provider’s privacy terms. This project snapshot contains no analytics or advertising SDK.
6. Notification Access
If you enable notification features and grant notification access, Android may make notification information from other apps available to Quantivis OS for the enabled functionality. Notifications can contain sensitive information. You can disable notification access in Android Settings.
7. Retention and Deletion
App data remains in app-private storage until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Android cloud backup and device-to-device app-data backup are disabled in this release configuration. Use available in-app controls to clear specific information. Exported encrypted backups are saved where you choose and should be deleted separately when no longer needed. Revoking a permission may not delete information already saved.
8. Security
The app relies on Android app storage and platform security, but no software or storage method is completely secure. Keep Android updated, use a secure device lock, and protect exported backups. The Quantivis app-level lock is not a replacement for the device’s secure lock screen.
9. Children and Shared Devices
Quantivis OS is a general-purpose launcher and is not designed specifically for children. Anyone with access to an unlocked or shared device may be able to view information available on that device or exported backups.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
Optional online features may rely on third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Review those policies before using the relevant feature.
11. Your Choices
You can manage Android permissions in system Settings, disable optional features, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Exported files may need to be deleted separately. This policy may be updated as the app’s features change.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the verified support contact published on the official app store listing or developer website. A public, working contact address and privacy-policy URL should be provided before public release.
